Green & Blue: A Coastal Celebration

Green & Blue: A Coastal Celebration, is our biggest fundraiser of the year, taking place in the beautiful gardens at Rancho La Patera & Stow House in Goleta, CA. Each year, this event brings together more than 500 guests from across the tri-county region. At Green & Blue we celebrate the many accomplishments this organization has achieved over our years and help raise critical funds to ensure EDC remains strong to protect this region for those who love it now and those who will follow in our footsteps. This year’s event on June 8, 2025 was our biggest to date, with over 600 guests coming together with great energy, passion, and a common desire to protect nature and our communities across the central coast of California. There was a buzz throughout our silent auction packed full of unique items, our live auction run by professional auctioneer Jim Nye was hilarious and invigorating, and the food by Duo Catering, wine from The Ojai Vineyard, and beer from Rincon Brewery was to rave about. Guests gathered under the tent for the second half of the afternoon. A short program began with a beautiful Chumash welcome by Mia Lopez, moving into the presentation of our 2025 Environmental Hero Award to Lisa Stratton, and our Next Gen Environmental Hero Award to Ethan Maday, presented by Julia Louis-Dreyfus. We closed out the evening with a special musical set by beloved local favorite, Glen Phillips.
We hope to see you all at next year’s event in June 2026. We will share the exact date as soon as possible

BIG THANKS TO OUR 2025 EVENT SPONSORS
EDC acknowledges and thanks the Chumash and Tongva communities for sharing the original names of the Channel Islands, which we will use this year as the names of our sponsorship levels. We are using these names to acknowledge that the places we are working to protect are unceded Indigenous lands.
